Other is where the show files episodes that don't fit the eight named industry groups. It holds two conversations so far. John Musser is president of Custom Electronics, an audio-visual integration company in Lowell founded in 2008 by Victor and Daphne Rell, which designs and installs systems for homes and commercial buildings across the region. His episode is worth hearing for one reason in particular: the company was built without taking on debt, and Musser, who joined in 2014, is direct about what that costs a company in growth and what it buys in control.

Matt Hesse founded UHP, a school for veterans on a campus in Gentry, and his episode is shaped differently from the rest: much of it is a walk around that campus. His argument is about prevention. In his view most of the support around veterans is built to treat suffering after it happens, and UHP is built to replace the sense of purpose people lose when they leave the military, before it gets that far.

If you're looking for a particular kind of business, the eight named groups are a better place to start: finance, food and drink, health, manufacturing and industrial, professional services, real estate and construction, retail and consumer, and software and tech. The links at the bottom of this page go to each one. The whole list is below.
