Johnson is a small city between Fayetteville and Springdale, close enough to both that a lot of people drive through it without noticing. It's where Wright's BBQ started.

Jordan Wright was working sales at Tyson Foods, traveling the country and eating Texas barbecue, when he ordered a $7,500 trailer-mounted smoker and started cooking for other people's companies. That became a food truck he ran at First Thursday and on weekends while still working at Tyson, then lunches in the Johnson Yard from the spring of 2017, then the first brick-and-mortar here. His episode takes you back to the early days: opening that first location, growing into more stores and the Razorback partnerships, and what he looks for when he hires.

One conversation from Johnson so far. Fayetteville, two exits south, holds more of the show's restaurant conversations.
